About the owner ....
He graduated University of North Florida in 1998 with a Bachelors in Construction Management and then earned is his Building Contractor license in 1999. His concentration was in architecture and engineering and worked his way through college as an CAD draftsman for architects and engineers. He's approach to projects is from a constructability standpoint to develop the most economical and practical approach to building and design. He has earned various degrees and certifications along the way which include EPA, OSHA and the International Code Council (Building Code). He had been part of multiple professional organizations such as Associated Builders & Contractors (ABC), Construction Management Association (CMAA), Northeast Florida Builders Association (NEFBA) and International Code Council (ICC).
Locally, he worked for CF Knight as an assistant Superintendent/Project Manager at Pablo Creek Golf Course Clubhouse, at Cypress Village Retirement Homes and maintenance building for Golf World. After graduation he built semi-custom homes for ICI Homes.
Later he moved to Denver to develop his commercial experience and worked for 2 of the best companies in the industry. In 2008, he started Avondale Construction.
He worked his way up from hammering nails to a project manager for a Billion dollar developer to now running Avondale Construction. He has managed large commercial projects with multiple building sites, nursing homes remodel/additions, historic renovations, design/build, tenant finish, high-end residential, subdivisions as well as self-performed demolition, site grading, landscaping, concrete, carpentry, doors & hardware and siding for many of these projects. He has also negotiated and prepared contracts, close-out documents, RFI’s, ASI’s, submittals, daily reports, and he has estimated and maintained project budgets.
He has been fortunate to have worked for clients such as King Soopers/Kroger, Winn-Dixie, Pinon/Vinage Management, ABC Supply, Dick's Sporting Goods, Best Buy, Walmart, Hendricks Commercial Properties, Kerry Ingredients, Ebates/Rakuten, First National Bank, YMCA, State of Colorado, City of Brighton and Vail Resorts.
